When my sister-in-law brought home the original pair of squeaky shoes from Cambodia and my wife and I watched our daughter walk around squeaking in pure excitement, we knew we had to market these fun shoes ourselves in the U.S.. At the time, my daughter was just learning to walk and squeaky shoes provided her great encouragement and stimulation which I believe helped her become an early walker.

For years my wife, Sara, and I wanted to start our own business and pondered what products and/or services we would provide. When we came upon the squeaking shoes that lit up our daughter's face and brought us so much enjoyment our dilemma was solved. What we didn't know was where to find these amazing squeaky baby and toddler shoes. Months of emails and instant messaging with new contacts in China followed. Eventually we agreed on a couple of designs for our fun squeaking shoes and our business partners in China set the manufacturing ball in motion. It is amazing how technology makes it seem like the person you are working with on the other side of the world is right next door.

Back on this side of the globe, Sara and I combined our talents to realize our dream of owning our own company. My background in Finance and Information Systems allowed me to develop the website you are currently visiting and to have a solid financial basis to start our company. Sara, currently a stay-at-home Mom for our 20 month old daughter, was able to test market our shoes through involvement as a Gymboree teacher and the President of the local International Moms Club chapter. Together we feel we have brought you a name brand you can trust and guaranteed fun for your baby or toddler.

I feel very fortunate to have made so many friends and business partners through the experience of founding Kid Squeakers. I would like to thank my wife and my family for their encouragement. Kid Squeakers would not be possible without the support I received from them.
